I'm Just Sayin'
LOL, ROFL and Haha.
Personally "haha" is my favorite. I mean when someone types "LOL" did they really laugh out loud? If so, were they at work? Did anyone notice? I'm thinking that if the person is a friend and you know they work during the hours when you happen to be chatting with them and they type "LOL" there is a good chance they're lying, haha.
See, I like "Haha" cuz it's truthful. For example, take the paragraph above. I really did think "haha" because I though the comment was funny. I didn't "LOL" cuz it wasn't that funny plus I'm at work where others would think I was strange for laughing out loud. Not to mention, if I did "LOL" then I would be exposing the fact that I wasn't really working...if you know what I mean.
Now ROFL is all together wrong, I mean REALLY? Do you really want me to believe that you're rolling on the floor, laughing? Then how are you typing? And frankly, I'm 38 and I've never witnessed a person rolling on the floor while laughing.

I'm with you on the LOL thing. Personally, I never write it unless I actually do LOL, which is common, even at work. People think I'm strange anyway, so it's cool if I laugh to myself while sitting in my prison cell/cubicle. I mean, sometimes you just shouldn't hold back a good laugh 'cause the internal cranial pressure might cause you to burst an anearism or something.
